Help with rendering issues

Some problems may occur when the user is not sure what type of graphics hardware they have and select the wrong type from within the viewer.

There are 3 types of renderer available for you to choose:
1. DirectX Renderer
2. OpenGL Renderer
3. R98 Renderer

It is reccomended that users not familiar with 3D technology opt for the softare renderer (R98) To change your renderer follow these instructions:

1. Access the extra options in your VRML browser by simply right clicking anywhere in the world to bring up this menu (shown left).

2. Click on "Preferences..." and when the control properties dialogue box comes up (shown left) click on the "Renderer" tab.

3. Select your Renderer and click on the "Apply" button to see the changes.

Those with newer and more powerful computers may notice a considerable difference in quality by choosing either the DirectX or OpenGL renderers but those with older machines not built for graphics may experience problems if they select options other than the R98.
